Monumental ink-on-silk hanging scroll by Fan Kuan, c. 1000 CE, depicting towering mountains and a caravan of travelers on a mountain path. Held at the National Palace Museum, Taipei. One of the greatest surviving works of Chinese landscape painting.

·Executed in ink on silk as a hanging scroll; meticulous 'raindrop' brushwork (雨點皴, yǔdiǎn cūn) depicts rocky textures.
