Gestation

Acrylic on canvas by Syed Haider Raza (1990). A large-format Bindu-series painting in which concentric geometric forms — triangles, squares, and circles — radiate from a central dot (Bindu) in dense, saturated acrylic colour. The title invokes the Sanskrit cosmological concept of the primordial point as the generative origin of all creation.
