Oil on canvas by Amedeo Modigliani, c. 1917–18. A reclining nude — one of the most celebrated of Modigliani's elongated figural paintings. Sold at Christie's New York, 9 November 2015, for $170,405,000. Now held at Long Museum, Shanghai (on loan from Liu Yiqian).

·Part of the series of reclining nudes Modigliani painted primarily in 1917–18, many of which caused scandal when shown at Berthe Weill's gallery in Paris in December 1917 (police closed the show within hours).
·The elongated form, simplified features, and warm ochre palette are characteristic of Modigliani's mature figural style.
·The 2015 Christie's sale was notable for the buyer charging the purchase to his AmEx Centurion card — generating approximately 492 million frequent flyer miles.
